La Locanda Italian Restaurant at Ocean Riviera Paradise
During this video tour, you will get a chance to see not only the facility, but I will share with you the menus and the food that we eat. We had a great meal here. And in fact, I would say that all of the specialty restaurants we tried at the Ocean Riviera Paradise provided both impeccable service and amazing food. We are coming to the end of our outside tour of the facility.

And we’re going to move inside and we’ll take a quick video tour. I was fortunate that when I did this tour inside there we were able to get in when the restaurant was empty, other than a little bit of staff. This is right before opening time. And so we’re going to just take a quick walkthrough and you don’t have to excuse my bobble, my gimbal failed on me. We’re going to walk through the restaurant and you’ll see that it’s very nicely laid out. Plenty of space. I didn’t ever see it crowded. It never felt crowded, while we were in there eating.

They have some tables shut off due to COVID. They’re real strict here at the property about making you wear a mask when you come in. Once you sit down at your table, you can take your mask off. They spaced them out so that you get a very good social distancing space.

It’s not a fancy restaurant, as far as the appearance. But we thought it was very well decorated. And we definitely enjoyed our meal. We’re going to take a look at the main area right here by the entrance. And in just a second you’ll see the view we had when we sat down at our table because after we finish our videos it will be time to eat.

And so there’s the view from the table when we were sitting down. Now we’re going to take a look at the menus and our food choices and what we thought of them, coming right up. Like all good restaurants, they start off feeding you bread. And I made the mistake of enjoying this bread way too much, but there’s Parmesan, balsamic vinegar, and some really nice olive oil in the plate. And it tasted really good. We’ll get another look at that from the side that it was fresh, it was warm, it was just so tasty. In fact, you can see what it did to my wife’s face it, put a smile on it, and you can see the debris behind.

That’s kind of an interesting ceiling in the restaurant.

So the menu starts obviously with appetizers, two soups, some carpaccio, and some eggplant Parmesan. My wife chose the Maritata soup with pork, salami, prosciutto, carrots, zucchini, all those things. And she was expecting more vegetables and less meat than there was, as you see. Get a couple of pictures here to see the dish, but it had lots of meat. I thought it had a nice flavor.

The next course is your pasta and risotto course, pasta and rice. And for myself, I chose the risotto with the prosciutto. It had the zucchini, tomato sauce, and watercress salad. I thought it was really good. My wife enjoyed it. You get a couple of different views of this dish, one from above and one from the side, the second course was plenty large considering, there would be more to come. Both of us enjoyed it. I would gladly eat it again.

The next course up was our main course. And for that, I chose the petit filet, marinated with herbs. And you’ll see a picture of it coming up here in just a second. I found it very, very enjoyable. In fact, I would say that this was one of my favorites at this resort; though we ate steak at another restaurant as well later, and it was extremely good too.

I chose the tiramisu. And it is very pretty and it tasted okay. But it was not what I was expecting, I like the ladyfingers to be espresso-soaked and almost a little bit gooey. This one wasn’t that way, so it was not my favorite dish, but it tasted okay.
