The Alfredo sauce is traditionally paired with fettuccine, hailing to the world-renowned Fettuccine Alfredo Italian pasta dish. The dish is named after Alfredo di Lelio, who served the meal at his restaurant since the mid-1900s.

The dish eventually spread to the United States, where it remains popular. It evolved to include heavy cream, chicken and other ingredients. The recipe is said to have been popularised in the States by Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks after dining at Alfredo’s and gave him the famous gold fork and spoon.

This video will recreate something closer to the Italian version, with the addition of chicken and parsley. This dish is titled “Pasta Alfredo” instead of ” Fettuccine Alfredo” to make you decide the pasta you’d like to use, even though fettuccine is the original pasta used.

The ingredients are:
250g Pasta
100g Cheese (grated)
