Best way I feel to zest a lemon is to hold the handle in a reverse grip and put the end against the cutting board. (Pretend the zester is a knife and you’re “stabbing” the cutting board). Let the zest fall onto the cutting board as you’re zesting, and you can zest a lemon in 7 seconds, and grab another lemon and start again in another second. Way more comfortable and stable since you’re pressing the zester against the table
