Cannoli are one of the most famous Italian desserts, originating from Sicily, Italy. These crispy pastry shells are traditionally filled with sweet ricotta cream and often finished with chocolate, candied fruit or pistachios. After tasting incredible cannoli at an Italian bakery, we spent time experimenting with different recipes to recreate the same flavour, texture and aroma at home. This version uses marsala wine in the pastry, which is a traditional ingredient used in authentic Sicilian cannoli. Cannoli are best enjoyed fresh and are perfect served with coffee or dessert wine.
