Alfredo isn’t Italian Jesus Christ
“Authenticity” limits creativity, stunts growth, and limits innovation. People need to pull the stick out of their asses and just like good food.
My Alfredo is vegan and made with cashews instead of dairy.
Won't anyone get mad at me?
Italians get way too offended by their very mediocre meals being changed by adding other ingredients. It annoys me that I can’t see a recipe without them screaming in the comments like vultures. This Alfredo looks SO GOOD!!
you can call it something else than alfredo..or American-Alfredo
That is not true. Italians are mad when you say my grandapa is my sister. For example Carbonara does not have cream. People make a pasta with cream and call it carbonara. This makes Italians mad. Call it anything else you want, I call it tasty, but it is not carbonara.
Omg why so much butter 😢
Ive been to italy the food sucks
Don’t you want it to be good
Many screaming italian americans had their authenticity from 3 generations ago. Imma break the pasta too cause it means nothing except to them.
lmao what’s alfredo
Im not Italian but this doesn't look good 😢
My Alfredo has a cream cheese and sour cream base, no roux. Its incredibly heavy and rich and not traditional though it is a family recipe!
Both are good! Just call this something else.
Alfredo with heavy cream isn’t even Italian. The original is just parm and butter.
Break the pasta in half, just to spite them.
Alfredo pasta is NOT Italian, not authentic and you can do it however you want.
Italians when you slightly alter an “ancient recipe” ( It was invented in 1975)
Unpopular opinion- actual Italians are protective of dishes but open to variations on good food, Italian Americans are just overprescriptive
im full italian (born in russia tho) and ive always had “authentic” italian meals. i honestly don’t care if it’s not “authentic”, only if it tastes good. authenticity shouldn’t change your taste buds lmao
Alfredo sauce is so easy. You only need BUTTER and GRANA PADANO cheese (or Parmigiano) and a little bit Pasta water. Thats it🫠
Yeah honestly they piss me off, acting like some pasta and garlic and oil is a next level creation. Funny how the French have pioneered many more recipes and techniques yet don't yell at others for adapting French recipes 🙄❤
Not only authentic, not even a thing!
Most italians actually don’t care, it’s ‘italian’ americans that are weird asf
Baby just call it u.s.a. Alfredo and we are all ok
Cuz that's american alfredo
