Regina Pizzeria (Boston) and Santarpios (East Boston) are really good. But I'm from the South Shore where South Shore Bar Pizza is king. So many try to out-do each other, but I have my absolute favorites. But we are talking about NY style. The 2 above are my favorites.
Ok, I'm from Chelmsford & I'm embarrassed to say I've never been, but will have to try. In the same plaza there's Lu's Kitchen. Excellent Chinese food! I've had a cold & have been getting their chicken wonton soup & it is so soothing & sooooo good!😋
Joannie’s was one of my and my wife’s favorite spots when we lived in Lowell. (Sushi Yanagi, Eggmania, and Rick’s Diner—all in the same complex in Drum Hill—are also awesome, tho not for pizza). One of my favorites in the Merrimack Valley. But I prefer Italian and Greek bakery pizza, so my favorites are Parziale’s and Bova’s at the Boston Bakery Corner and Olympos in Lowell. Also prefer Old forge Pizza and Pan-Fried Sicilian from NE PA, but you likely don’t want to drive five and a half hours just for pizza.
Next time at Joannie’s if you go again, try the spinach and artichoke pizza. along with the regular pie, it’s the best on the menu. If they have their homemade donuts, pick up one of those, too.
