This is the original location from the 1930s. The restaurant closed in the 80s while opening places in NYC and Palm Beach.
The restaurant finally returned home to Milan a few years ago. The interior design, by Fabrizio Casiraghi, is chic and warm. The service is lovely.
My friend Linda and I sat at the bar. The week before I came with friends visiting from Rome, Erica and Alison. It’s close to the most touristy area in Milan (Duomo) but still has a local vibe.
I’ve eaten at the Sant Ambroeus in the West Village (years ago) but haven’t had a meal yet at this location. Looking forward to sitting out on the patio again this spring.

Sant’Ambroeus has fantastic ambience and my cocktail was amazing!
