  1. I have never been there and I Iive in Statesville. If you are ever in the area again try Amalfi’s Pizzeria or Sorrentos. My husband and I really like them. Thank you.

  2. I appreciate honest reviews because that's how we know if it's worth going. 🙂 We have been in Statesville, and that looks like a great place to try! I love that there is no music and loved your little "rant" on the shrimp tails – haha!

  3. The food looked amazing! I’m originally from NJ now in the TX Panhandle so I really miss good Italian food. I greatly appreciate your honesty 🙂

  4. Sorry you are not feeling well, Shawnasi! Hope the Dr. helped you today. I'm glad y'all had a good experience today. I agree with Derrick about the shrimp tails. I'd rather have them left off for better eating than left on for looks. Anyway…it was way better than that Maggie Valley lobster ravioli…right? It looked very good! Thank y'all for sharing and God Bless!

  5. Good morning! Enjoyed another video from the NCMM! Derek, most restaurants not near the Gulf coast or Atlantic seaboard will use imported shrimp from places like India. They’re called easy peel. They are shipped with the tail on and shell that is usually deveined. They are called Easy-Peel. That is how they’re ordered usually from food companies like Sysco or Reinhardt. Louisiana now has a law that requires restaurants to post on the menu if seafood is imported.
The imported shrimp are way cheaper than the gulf shrimp. Some of our restaurants in south Louisiana use the easy peel to defray price costs.
Sorry for the long post but thought this would be interesting to you. Hope both of yall are feeling better soon!! Have a blessed day guys!

  6. Oooo, sorry you both have been feeling poorly. Derrick's lobster ravioli looks much better than at that other place.
Everything looked good. Thanks for bringing us along. Feel better. 💜

  7. I completely totally agree with you.If the shrimp is in a sauce, I don't want the tail. It's messy getting rid of them.

  8. We live in Elkin and mainly only go to Statesville for my Rheumatologist appointments. We will definitely be trying this after my next appt.. Txs for the review. 100% agree with you about the shrimps tails. I always think of that tail shredding and hard pieces getting into the sauce. Always a turnoff.

  9. Wow! You were in down the road from me ! Love watching your reviews. I have been once, and their food was very good. Please comeback to Statesville again.

  10. I'm happy you got a much better lobster ravioli today. Looked good but I agree 6 raviolis is a bit small. Shawnasi's looked like a great portion. I love a pink sauce too.
I laughed out loud about the shrimp tails. I agree one hundred percent. I do not like having to remove the tail from a saucy shrimp in my dish. I do not find it visually appealing. To me it's just lazy.
I hope Shawnasi's doctor appointment went well.
I liked the Pierre tribute on your shirt.
    Great video.

  11. If you are going to ever make a video coming directly to Statesville for a restaurant That's Italian I highly recommend Amalfi's Pizza Italian Restaurant👌 excellent food. Bless you both for making this video 🙏

  12. I used to stop in Statesville whenever I was driving to Charlotte for a concert or event. I always went to Carolina BBQ there because they serve the pork plain and have both vinegar and ketchup based sauces for you to choose from and I like to mix em (don't tell my fellow east Carolinians, they'd probably run me off.) I don't get over that way much anymore, but if I do I might have to consider this place for a bite.

  13. Their menu looked so good probably the best Italian menu I've ever seen. So many options. I would have to of tried the Chicken Piccata (sometimes the same thing is called Chicken Scallopini, same ingredients from what I've seen). I love a creamy lemon sauce and I love capers. Both of yours I would have liked as well. I'm glad the Lobster ravioli was better than the last place. I know how disappointed you were there. Also I love a place with the olive oil and vinegar dipping for the bread. Thanks for another great review and hope you are completely feeling better now.

  14. Nice place. Glad the lobster ravioli was better than the place in Maggie Valley last time. Wished your portion size was bigger though. Hope all is well with Shawnasi and her dr. appointment?

  15. Feel better!! That time of the season. I love fall 🍂 and cooler weather. Nice review….
That's going to be lunch and dinner….
Get some rest. God bless 🙏

  16. Derrick, who made that shirt with your dogs picture? I have a picture of my dog that I would like to have put on a shirt.

  17. What was the supplement fee for $1.84 for? I hate restaurants that add things on the bill and don't explain it to the customers! Your food looked amazing and am glad that you enjoyed your dishes.
