Authentic Italian gelato, Eddie’s additive-free gelato, is a fusion of authentic Italian and Japanese.
You can enjoy fresh gelato using Japanese seasonal fruits, which are carefully selected for each season.
The salted caramel flavor that I saw from making caramel is really delicious.
It is a wonderful shop where Eddie and his wife are operating together.
By the way, it seems that the gelato machine was as expensive as the top class Mercedes-Benz at the time.

京都西院にあるジェラート屋さん「カフェラッテ/Caffellatte」。
イタリア人ジェラターヨ、エディーさんが店内でつくりあげる無添加ジェラートは、まさに本場イタリアと日本の融合。
素材にもとことんこだわり、季節ごとに吟味した日本の旬の果物（今回は柿）を使った新鮮ジェラートが一年中楽しめます。
今回キャラメル作りから拝見させて頂いた塩キャラメルも本当に絶品過ぎました。
どのジェラートを食べても美味しい、エディーさんと奥さんが二人三脚で営業されている素敵なお店です。
余談ですが、ジェラートマシンは当時最高級クラスのベンツと同じくらいの値段がしたそうです。
