Luigi Moio is a wine producer in Irpinia, an important wine region in Campania, near Naples. Its winery, Quintodecimo, is a very little gem in Mirabella Eclano municipality, with also a quite new property in Tufo area and they produce among the most important red and white wines of southern Italy, like:
• Aglianico
• Falanghina
• Greco di tufo
• Fiano di avellino
• Taurasi
Luigi Moio is a very important personality in the world of wines: he’s a cult enologist, the President of OIV (International Organization of the Vineyards and the Wine); he is a famous researcher in the field of wine aromas and, last but not least, a Professor of Enology in the prestigious Federico II University in Naples.
Irpinia, where its Quintodecimo winery is established, is a special wine region: it is in Campania, close to Naples, in the south of Italy but the weather is very similar to the North, especially in winter: cold and snow, very different temperatures between day and night, an ideal and special context for the production of wine.
