Most of you have made meatloaf on occasion; you may even have a family-favorite recipe that you make frequently. Well, I want to introduce you to the Marchegiano style of meatloaf, with ricotta added to the mix, which renders the loaf tender and tasty-not heavy and dense, as they so often are. Another textural delight in this loaf are cubes of mozzarella, oozing and moist when the meatloaf is served hot and fresh from the oven. Buon Gusto!

  3. I am so excited about this Lydia. I said to my friend who. How about putting RICOTTA IN MY MEATBALL MIXTURE. SHE SAID NO. AND GAVE ME A FEW REASONS WHY SHE THOUGHT THAT wouldn’t be a good idea, so I left it alone. And here you are my beautiful, best chef in the world LYDIA saying let’s make we gotta meatballs or I got the meatloaf next time. I will just listen to myself and the heck with her lol thanks so much can’t wait to make them. I will be making them today. Thanks chef LYDIA. God bless always.

  4. I have to admit, I make my Meatloaf the same way I make my meatballs with almost the same ingredients, but it's doesn't mean they taste the same ,
    They Both are Delicious 😋…

  5. I think I have FINALLY FOUND My perfect MEATLOAF! Thank You Ms. Lydia.

Much Love and condolences to You on the passage of Your Beloved Mother.

I didn't know that She had Walked-On-To-Heaven. I wondered why She wasn't on Your recent Shows…Just Y'all Singing together which is lovely. I know Y'all miss Her…She sees Y'all, She KNEW She was Loved. Honestly, the Love that Y'all had for each other, that Y'all do have for each other came/cones through the TV. There's no pretense for genuine sincerity.

May God continue to Bless You and Your Family and all in this Forum.

  6. I make American meatloaf, you know, with minced yellow onions and green bell peppers inside (and maybe grated carrot, too, if I need more bulk) and a sweet ketchup=based glaze on top. No cheese but I put ketchup, mustard and worcestershire in with the meat as seasonings (plus parsley and thyme). But Italian-style meatloaf looks great — marinara on meatloaf sounds real good to me.

  7. Lidia, Just tried your recipe, and LOVE it….its a new family favorite. Please take another trip back to Italy….I'll carry your bags…LOL

  8. My italian Grandmother RIP used to make this but with prosciutto and/or american ham added and in a brown sauce not tomato sauce… <3

  9. About to try this, with necessary adjustments due to ingredients. Thanks for the inspirations! <3

  10. Ive been on the lookout for a different meatloaf recipe… this looks like it totally hits the spot!! I’m making this tomorrow for Sunday supper🎉🎉

  11. That meat loaf looks so tender that you probably could make meatballs with the same recipe. Just thinking to maybe omit the cubed mozzarella.
