Pairs Well With A Week In Italy With Military Friends | Prosecco Road | Verona | The Dolomites |

One of the best parts of the military is the incredible friendships. We were lucky enough to have our friends we met in South Korea (Kunsan Air Base) come visit us in Italy. We had so much fun exploring Italy together.

SEPTEMBER 26
Verona-Day trip from Aviano Air Base 2 hour drive or an option to take the train. We opted to drive because it was only a 1 hour 45 minute drive from my house.
-Lunch: Il Punto Rosa Hosteria, we all loved our pasta choices
-Nespresso store: We received some great recommendations of places to visit from the trainee at the Nespresso store. I wish I remembered her name but she was great.
-Juliet’s House: This was definitely a little underwhelming but we were happy to check it out once

Dinner: Dodo’s Pizza
Their unique pizza has a deep fried dough. We were joined by the guys and all really enjoyed our pizzas. The pizzas are huge and there are tons of options.

SEPTEMBER 27
Vittorio Veneto
-Lunch spot: Trattoria alla Cerva
It’s our favorite spot in the quaint and adorable little town. The pasta is unbeatable and the ambience is perfection. My personal favorite is the seasonal pumpkin gnocchi.

Prosecco Road
A favorite place to bring our friends from out of town.
-Wine Tasting: San Gregorio
Would be a perfect spot to visit during the winter or rainy day. The tasting location is in the cellar without a view of the winery but we loved the
experience with Francesca.
-Best View: The Prosecco vending machine, it’s a perfect spot to bring some snacks and buy a bottle of Prosecco. If you forget glasses there is a vending machine with those too.

SEPTEMBER 28
The Dolomites
-Hike: Parked at Passo Rolle and did a leisurely hike to Baita Segantini and enjoyed the mountain views as the clouds rolled in and out.
-Coffee Break: San Martino di Castrozza. An adorable quiet little town with some cute restaurants.
-Lunch/Walk/Coffee: Stopped in the beautiful town of Fiera di Primiero. We arrived around riposso so there weren’t too many places open but we loved walking the streets and to the church. The place we stopped in for lunch was cute but the food was only ok & I didn’t even save the restaurant name.

-Pre dinner drinks: Weiss Bar, Sacile
-Dinner: Le Contrade- We usually really like the tasting menu because it is a fun experience and there’s an option to pair wine. Our dinner was really good but one of the main courses was underwhelming this time.

SEPTEMBER 29
Day trip to Ljubljana, Slovenia. Full video is live on the channel.

-Dinner: Cellini’s in Sacile, large menu with many solid options.
