Grand Central Terminal Sunday afternoon tour. Dining Concourse tracks 100 – 126, not all tracks in revenue use. In addition to Luke’s and Shake Shack, there is a sit down Italian/Pizza restaurant. There are also fast food type restaurants and a bakery. The famous Oyster Bar is located between the Lower and Main Concourse.
Correction – the new Long Island RR connection will have 4 platforms and 8 tracks. This is set to open soon and tentative schedules are being worked on.
The main concourse has tracks 11-42. There is no track 12. Originally, Commuter trains used the lower level platforms and ling distance trains used the upper level platforms.
The distance from floor to ceiling is 12 storeys. The Campbell apt is a high end bar located on the SW corner of the station. Current access is through the Vanderbilt Ave side of the building. It opens at 3pm on Sunday.
GCT is one of the three best free midtown building attractions for visitors and tourists.
