Here is my latest project for Soul Sicilian Fusion, an authentic Italian restaurant owned by chef Nello and located in Clearwater, FL. The first time I went to this restaurant I was blown away by the authenticity of the food. In facts it’s very difficult to find REAL Italian food in America, almost impossible. What chef Nello was able to achieve with this restaurant is phenomenal and if you are in the area I really recommend checking this place out.
It’s been a while that I wanted to shoot a food project and this was the perfect opportunity. I shot many wine films, but food gives you the chance to capture some incredible footage. I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait to shoot more food projects. Chef Table was definitely a big inspiration for this project!
Everything was shot on Ursa Mini Pro 12K and BMPCC6K with my set of Leica R. In terms of lighting we only used an Aputure 120d with a light dome. Special thanks to my second camera operator Andres Aquino! Edited and graded in DaVinci Resolve with BUTTERY Natural Rec709 LUT!
