In the last days of September or the first part of October where the Tuscan Mountain Region meets with the Region of Emilia-Romagna. The Italian people are busy preparing for the grape harvest. I was fortunate enough to get to tag along and learn about the whole process of picking and preparing the grapes to make wine. This year the was a good harvest according to Flavio and he should know he has been doing this since a child. Everyone comes together for the day to harvest and then we have dinner together and sample last years wine! Thank you to AnnaMaria, Fausta and Flavio, Catia and Adelchi, Giulia and Nicola, the memories are many and the experience was one I will not soon forget! It is a “pinch me” moment when you understand the graciousness of these people and the beautiful Tuscan Mountain Village I call home!
