ITALIAN restaurant, Benedicto’s, had secured funding to expand the business, adding a new Italian wine bar, cafe and guest rooms.
The Worcester-based restaurant will also be increasing its seating capacity from 130 to 145 and extending opening hours with the new cafe, wine bar, and lunchtime menu.
They were able to secure £200,000 in funding from BCRS Business Loans.
Gaetano Cinao, owner of Benedicto’s said: “We’re incredibly proud of how far Benedicto’s has come.
“The funding has allowed us to realise our vision and grow the business further.”
Gaetano said that after covid, they had the opportunity to reset and look at plans for growth, which is when the idea for expanding came about.
The new funding is also expected to create jobs over the next year. Staff development is a high priority for them, with many long-serving staff progressing into management roles.
David Tindall, British Business Bank’s senior investment manager said: “This is a good example of a family run business with a clear ambition to grow while staying true to what has made it successful.”
Gaetano and Gianluca Tilotta opened the restaurant in 2003 as co-owners, and have seen it grow over the years.
This includes additional floors for hosting events, an outdoor seating terrace and wine tasting evenings.
