Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard has announced the return of its fan-favorite Zombie’s Blood Italian Ice.
The limited-time flavor features a sweet cherry taste and deep red hue, and is available at participating Rita’s locations while supplies last. In addition to ordering the Italian Ice on its own, customers can try it in three seasonal offerings: the Zombie’s Blood Gelati, layered with vanilla frozen custard; the Zombie’s Blood Blendini, featuring vanilla frozen custard and chocolate chips; and the Zombie’s Blood Misto, which blends the Italian Ice with vanilla frozen custard.
“Zombie’s Blood is one of those flavors that brings a little extra fun to the Rita’s experience,” Carmela Hughley, senior vice president of marketing insights and innovation, said in a company press release. “Between its bold color, sweet cherry flavor and playful name, it was made for Halloween.”
The seasonal promotion comes as Rita’s, which operates more than 600 shops, heads toward the end of the season for some of its locations. Seasonal shops operate at least through Oct. 11, although some remain open later and many locations operate year-round.
