EASTON, Pa. – From music to pasta, pizza and so much more — the inaugural Festa Italiana made its mark Sunday in downtown Easton.
Yiannis Kyziridis with Pat’s Pizza and Bistro was hard at work.
“We got a good selection of pizzas, we have our signature Sophia Loren pasta, and we are introducing for the first time pork and chicken spiedini,” Kyziridis said.
“It’s wonderful to have an Italian fest, finally, after so many years in downtown Easton,” said Christina Crisci with Antonio’s Pizza and Restaurant.

Crisci was serving up Antonio’s famous limoncello cheesecake.
That’s in addition to chicken parmigiana sandwiches and fried dough.
“We’re excited. We have Garlic Fest and Bacon Fest. Why not a festival for Italians, too?” said Cheyann Crisci. “It’s great. Everyone loves Italian food.”
Salvatore Mannino with Coopersburg-based Ecco Pasta made more than 200 pounds of pasta.
“It’s good to get in front of the people,” Mannino said. “Usually, I’m in the back side of things for wholesale.”
All these great options were at the festival that Stephanie Altieri and Sette Luna owner Josh Palmer started.
“We ran into each other at a restaurant in Allentown about nine months ago, and we had this idea to do it a couple of years ago,” Altieri said.
“It feels really good to see our community,” Palmer said. “The outpouring of community, friends and family has just been so heartwarming.”
