Embarking on the gastronomic journey at the Mozzarella Bar appears apt, where patrons can savor the Mozzarella di Bufala & Condimenti paired with four accompaniments – basil pesto, salsa romesco, black olive tapenade, and caperberry relish.
The mozzarella itself exudes freshness and subtlety, boasting a pronounced milky taste. The assortment of condiments brings variety to each bite, with the basil pesto imparting a clean flavor, salsa romesco providing smokiness, and black olive tapenade contributing a sharper, acidic touch.
Pizzas, Piadinas and Pastas

A noteworthy addition at the new venue is the Pizza alla Pala, a Roman-style elongated pizza that departs from the conventional round pizzas linked with Osteria Mozza. Served in slices, this rendition features a thin, crunchy crust, making it perfect for sharing.

Our tasting encompassed three variations: the Salame, Margherita, and Funghi Misti, each presenting distinctive flavors and textures. Additionally, the introduction of piadina sandwiches, such as the Chicken Parmigiana Piadina alla Vodka, offers a crispy lunchtime alternative for diners.

The pasta assortment at Osteria Mozza’s ION Orchard location includes beloved classics like the Squid Ink Casarecce and Mafaldine ragù Bolognese. The Squid Ink Casarecce, accompanied by cuttlefish and red wine butter, delivers a subtle briny taste profile with a rich undertone. Conversely, the Mafaldine ragù Bolognese offers a heartier choice, blending chewy pasta with a comforting meat sauce.
Don’t Forget Your Veggies

To complement the selection of pizzas, pastas, and meat dishes, vegetable sides like the Sweet Potato and Roasted Heirloom Carrots provide a refreshing counterbalance to the meal. The Sweet Potato, topped with scallion sour cream and fried prosciutto, presents a delightful fusion of flavors and textures, while the Roasted Heirloom Carrots with cumin vinaigrette bring a warm, earthy essence to the table.
Moving to the Mains

Transitioning to the main courses, the Pork Chop Milanese and Grilled Harissa Shrimp offer distinct yet flavorful experiences. While the Pork Chop Milanese boasts a tender texture and crispy coating, we observed a subtle lack of seasoning. In contrast, the Grilled Harissa Shrimp provides a charred essence with juicy shrimp served shell-on, delivering a hands-on dining encounter.
An Unfamiliar BTS

For a unique conclusion to the meal, Osteria Mozza introduces the Black Truffle Sundae, blending black truffle, brown butter, and buttered breadcrumbs to craft a sweet-savory harmony. This unconventional dessert lends a distinctive touch to the dining experience, offering a memorable finale.
