Believe me, I know firsthand how overwhelming The Cheesecake Factory’s menu can be. Unless you’re a regular and know what to order, you might feel like you can’t even decide what to get. You almost need to bust out some bifocals to read all the menu items and the fine print. If it feels overwhelming, that’s because it is. There are literally hundreds of menu items to choose from; however, for this article, I wanted to narrow it down to a few entrees.
Because the menu is so vast, I’m using the term “entree” loosely. Some items are technically on the appetizer menu, but to me, they are full-fledged meals and therefore entrees. So you’ll have to go with a looser definition. That said, there’s a variety of foods, proteins, and meal sizes so you can better determine what you want to purchase on your next visit. Most of these are items I have personally tried in my many adventures at The Cheesecake Factory, but I also included three that I have heard so much about through customer reviews and social media. I chose entrees that are delicious, visually interesting, and worth going out and paying hard-earned dollars for. Learn more about how I made my choices by reading the methodology at the end of the article.
Louisiana Chicken Pasta
The pasta, the myth, the legend: Louisiana Chicken Pasta has just about everything I look for in a meal. It is absolutely bursting with flavor; the pasta shape (farfalle, aka bowtie) is ideal, letting every bit of seasoning reach all the nooks and crannies. Not to mention, the chicken is one of the best pieces of poultry I’ve eaten. The protein is essentially a chicken cutlet; it is delightfully thin and crispy, but the meat is anything but dry. I also really enjoy the small pieces of bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions that not only make it taste brighter and fresher but also enhance its appearance.
The spicy New Orleans sauce adds plenty of flavor and some creaminess, making the dish feel luxurious. I don’t find it particularly spicy, but there is a little kick. It doesn’t hurt that the dish is so large you could easily share it with two or maybe three people, or, at the very least, have dinner ready for the next day. It’s large and heavy, but it is absolutely one of the best things the chain restaurant serves. My whole family enjoyed this meal.
Chicken Bellagio
The Chicken Bellagio is quite a heavy dish (heavier than Louisiana Chicken Pasta, too), so don’t order it if you want something light and refreshing — in that case, perhaps a salad. Here, we have the breaded chicken and pesto pasta to start. Pesto typically has an oily mouthfeel that can make it feel even richer, and that is the case here. In addition, we have the pool of iconic Parmesan cream sauce that coats the plate; it is thick and creamy, meant to add intrigue to your pasta and chicken. Honestly, I think the pasta and chicken are enough, but it also has a smidge of prosciutto and an arugula salad on top.
This brings both a savory and fresh element that helps it feel slightly uplifted. The meal is decadence on a plate and perfect for sharing, but it does pretty well when reheated if you bring leftovers home. You might want to select this entree if you want more of an herbal, vegetal flavor, which comes from both the basil oil and the arugula. This is actually an incredibly popular pasta dish that people order on repeat, so I’m not the only one who praises it. It’s delicious, clearly, but it looks truly picturesque if you want something visually impressive.
Four Cheese Pasta
If you prefer a meat-free pasta, then the Four Cheese Pasta still offers flavor, decadence, and immaculate presentation. The ricotta is the cherry (cheese) on top, adding a luscious creaminess to every bite. The cheeses are complex and incredibly flavorful; you won’t even think about missing a meat component. It’s great as a standalone dish, but also good to share at the table as a more family-style offering. The three pastas I mentioned are among the top-ranked ones I’ve tried, so you won’t go wrong with any of them.
This one, though, uses penne as the pasta of choice, mixed with marinara sauce and basil. It’s delicately tossed with sauce so every piece of pasta has it in each cranny, rather than just being piled on top. Then it has its namesake quartet of Parmesan, ricotta, romano, and mozzarella cheeses. You may think it feels light without breaded chicken or other meat-based protein, but it’s completely satiating thanks to all the cheesiness. It’s well worth buying, and as a bonus, you can ask for some extra Parmesan to sprinkle over the top.
Baja Bowl with Pork Carnitas
The Cheesecake Factory introduced its selection of bowls in 2025, and I tried several of them. For variety, I didn’t include a couple of my favorites on this list, just because I didn’t want it to be so chicken-heavy; I quite liked the Chicken Katsu Bowl and Southern Fried Chicken Bowl, in case you were wondering. But if you want some juicy pork for your meal, then you should order the Baja Bowl with Pork Carnitas. It features pork carnitas, black beans, roasted corn salsa, and guacamole over a bed of white rice.
It has familiar favorite flavors, so it doesn’t feel like it’s reinventing the wheel, but it’s presented in a captivating way. The ingredients are neatly organized, and each sits in a specific area, so it kind of reminds me of Chipotle if it were a sit-down restaurant. I like the separation because you can get a bite of whatever you want, rather than it being fully mixed together. It’s easier to appreciate each element that way. Just note that the pork comes in larger pieces rather than shredded, which is what many may be used to. I find that it feels heartier as I cut or bite into it.
Herb Crusted Filet of Salmon
How good can salmon be at The Cheesecake Factory? Well, pretty darn good if I say so. I love the Herb Crusted Filet of Salmon, specifically. The entree is fully coated in herbs, ensuring a flaky, fragrant, flavorful bite, and the herbs are finely minced so they don’t feel overpowering. It comes with a scrumptious lemon sauce on the plate, so it sticks to the salmon as you press your fork down to get a bite. You don’t have to dunk it in the sauce since it already has some on there, but I do so for good measure.
The plating here is deliberate and interesting, and the fanned-out asparagus are a nice touch. I think the mashed potatoes are phenomenal, too — lumpy (I know this is a polarizing texture, though), buttery, and savory. If you’ve ever had a dry, sad piece of salmon from a restaurant, let me calm your qualms. The fish is delightfully juicy and even reheats well; it doesn’t hurt that it’s a pretty generous portion of salmon. This option is perfect when you want something slightly lighter than a cream-infused pasta with fried chicken. Plus, you get somewhat close to a full serving of asparagus for added veggie nutrients.
Thai Lettuce Wraps with Chicken
While the Thai Lettuce Wraps with Chicken are technically an appetizer, they look like a full-on meal to me. The plate itself is enormous and loaded with food. This size is easily an entree for someone who can’t decide what to get. It comes with a fair amount of chicken, lettuce, and all the accoutrements to craft your own wraps. There are bean sprouts, coconut curry noodles, carrots, and a trio of sauces, so it feels light but satiating. I love the customization and interactive element that this dish provides. Keep the chicken whole, cube it, cut it into strips — it’s your call; you’re the chef.
Pick this dish if you want to have some fun. Mix and match the other add-ins and even combine the sauces. There are peanut, sweet red chili, and tamarind-cashew, and they are phenomenal. You can drizzle the sauces onto the wrap or pre-dunk the chicken pieces and then assemble your creations. The blend of flavors and textures makes this feel more like a masterpiece disguised as a restaurant entree. It’s crunchy and fresh, but the grilled chicken gives it savory, smoky depth. This is a popular, coveted menu item that people attempt to recreate at home, but you should spare yourself the trouble and order it while you’re at the restaurant.
Quesadilla
Would I recommend going to The Cheesecake Factory specifically and solely for the quesadilla? No, but it is a safe option for diners and genuinely good — it’s even highly recommended by Cheesecake Factory employees. There are plenty of reasons why you might want a quesadilla, whether you just want something comforting and familiar, you’re not looking for an enormous decked-out meal, or you are sharing with a finicky toddler (been there). The dish is part of the appetizer menu, but it could easily be an entree. I’ve been to other restaurants serving quesadillas as a meal, so this is no different.
It’s definitely a good pick to get if you’re already at the chain and can’t narrow down what to order. It comes with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole, so every bite can get some additional flavor beyond cheese. I like to mix the salsa and guac together, but everything is scrumptious on its own. The quesadilla is not complicated, but it’s made well and tastes good, and that’s really all that matters.
Crusted Chicken Romano
Crusted Chicken Romano blends well-known ingredients yet still manages to feel unique and drool-worthy. The standout is the chicken breast coated in a Romano-Parmesan cheese crust, creating a savory exterior. The entree is served with pasta and a light tomato sauce. But you can mix things up if desired.
A TikTok user, @juliarachel.eats, shared a hack that has nearly 2 million views: get the Crusted Chicken Romano, sub in mashed potatoes (the ones I mentioned I loved earlier) instead of pasta, and get extra sauce. All of a sudden, it transforms from yet another chicken and pasta dish into something new. It’s like a secret menu item at that point.
But you don’t have to mess with a good thing if you prefer to keep it the way it is. The dish received a shoutout in another TikTok video where people commented on their favorite dishes, garnering hundreds of likes in agreement. People responded with everything from saying it’s the best to saying it’s their go-to order. “I’ve been ordering this my whole life,” another commented. Although multiple people still recommend extra sauce, so that seems like a good idea no matter what.
Bee Sting Flatbread Pizza
Perhaps you want a Cheesecake Factory entree that also offers good bang for your buck. In that case, a flatbread might be the way to go. The chain has a few options, but one of the more interesting ones is the Bee Sting Flatbread Pizza. It is an enchanting blend of bacon, pepperoni, and Italian sausage; these meats are known for their rich mouthfeel, but they also help bulk up the pizza. There are Calabrian chilies, mozzarella, Parmesan, vodka, sauce, and honey to top it all off. The combination of meats and toppings makes it far from ordinary.
Even pizza critics and self-proclaimed foodies are pleasantly surprised by it, noting that it’s a delicious, well-crafted option. “I don’t often get pizza at non italian restaurants,” said one reviewer. “This was just so well done.” They couldn’t help but share their findings with the public. On the other hand, some say it’s their favorite dish that they always get. It beautifully combines sweet and spicy for the ultimate bold, swicy food — a flavor combo that has certainly grown in popularity. This dish utilizes interesting flavors and presentation to create an entree worth ordering.
Shepherd’s Pie
There’s nothing quite as comforting as a shepherd’s pie. It has everyday ingredients, but it’s assembled in a way that makes it seem more interesting. The Cheesecake Factory’s twist on the dish has much of the same allure. It has ground beef, peas, carrots, and onions, but zucchini also makes an appearance here for added greenery and a source of veggies. The dish sits in a mushroom gravy with a topper made of mashed potatoes and Parmesan cheese.
It may look humdrum, but the flavors say otherwise. Even TikTok food reviewer @paigeeatsgood, who has eaten dozens of items from the chain, says the dish is incredible, savory, and even better than the shepherd’s pie she had in England — that’s really saying something. Others say the mushroom gravy works very nicely with the creaminess of the mashed spuds. This is definitely a fan favorite that you should order if you’re in the mood for a beef-based entree. It’s a classic dish done well; each ingredient has excellent flavor and texture on its own, and together they make the meal that much more complex. It holds up well if you order it to go, too, as multiple people seem to love it when eating it from their to-go container.

I based these mainly on my personal experience eating the dishes; however, I also included insights based on customer reviews and other recommendations I’ve heard. To make this list of amazing entrees, each dish had to be flavorful, wonderfully presented, and interesting enough to be worth ordering (therefore paying for) at a restaurant. I was also mindful of offering a variety of dishes and proteins. There are other meals I like, but I didn’t want to be so chicken- or pasta-focused, for example. Otherwise, I could have added several more in either of those options. I wanted to offer readers (hey, that’s you!) a variety to find something that suits their mood. Additionally, these come in various sizes and textures, so that might factor into what you ultimately want to get. This is by no means a comprehensive list of worthy options.
