Franciacorta is a very unique wine that is extremely hard to find outside of Italy. It is different than prosecco as it is aged in a similar process to champagne. It is light & effervescent but also has a rich, earthy & nutty vibe. It pairs perfectly with these adorable truffle paninis at Procacci.
Procacci has been opened since 1885. It used to be the main truffle provider for the Italian royal family. Now it is owned by the Marchese Antorini family that produces the magnificent wines that you will see on the wine list at Procaccio. As I said skip the Aperol spritz for this aperitivo.
