Ive been to Italy 3 times. That pizza looked like shit. Italy has some fking insanely good pizza. I've had it in Venice, Rome, and Toscana. Shit is unreal.
Its just a question of personal preference. Napolitan pizza is vastly, vastly different than NY or Connecticut pizza.
Also, they give you a fork and knife so you can cut 'bites' for yourself, you fuckin child. You don't carve a slice and then eat it with your hands. Use the fork and knife. They don't cut the pie into slices for extremely obvious reason.
(And I cant emphasize how terrible that pizza looked compared to an 'average' pizza in downtown Roma. A €9 Diavola or €7 Margherita).
This place in particular became so overrated, it's opening other places around Italy. It's not bad, at all, but it's not even top 10 in Italy, let alone the world. Yes, I'm Italian
I've eaten there and a few other famous pizzerias in Naples and was waiting for your verdict with anticipation to see if you deserve the credibility you get.
You nailed it. I just don't get how wet sloppy pizza can be considered good. Each to their own. 😂❤
NYC/New Haven style pizza is different category in itself, they will be disappointed with Napolian pizza which is much simpler. Tbh US popularized the pizza across the world
Trust me the OG's in pizza game are no longer in Italy. Why? Simple. They're moved to the big city long time ago to chase the bag. So if you saying NY pizza are the best compared to in Italy, i 1000000% agreed!
The American taste is accustomed to "warfare," which is why that "fighter jet" of a pizza from New York tastes better to you. Your taste buds don't know what natural flavor is, so your opinion can't be taken seriously. I’ve been to New York, and the pizzas there taste good, but they can never compete with a Neapolitan pizza.
Yoy know where you can find the best pizza in italy? Go to the unknown city there is look for the unpopular pizza place you can find en eat there….thats how i eat the best pizzas in italy 🫡 this viral/known pizzerias are shit….
Misconception about this place. It makes a classic super simple " ruota di carro ". It's not considered by any means the best pizza in Naples. It's famous for its history and simplicity. Also the whole pizza costs like 5/7€.
First video where i see him giving actual critic, probably cause they are the only ones who didnt pay him for reviews😂 im with him on the napoli style pizza but this is not the only style in italy. Imo roman style pizza is the best and probably closest to ny style pizza
NY pizza in the best 100% I didn’t like Italian pizza when we traveled there . We traveled twice already and had not try anything that i could say woooww.
This is a typical example of Americans making up arbitrary standards – which were by no means standard for the original Italian dish – and calling it their win based on that. When in reality it would be more honest to just say this is a different version of the dish which you don’t prefer because you didn’t grow up with it. Italians could just as well say btw that American “pizza” is just not pizza according to their standards, therefore it’s like apples to oranges. And in this case Italian standards are the gold standard for what is pizza.
What does an American know about Pizza 😂😂. L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele is no 1, only costs €5 euro. The oven hasn't been turned off in over 100 years, this place is Pizza 🍕. Tip order from the bar opposite you'll get a pizza within 30mins instead of like 2 hrs, thank me later.

*Napoleon Style Pizza
I've also been there and I agree with you. It's just not my style of pizza
It may be the most famous pizza in Italy, but it's certainly not the best
Not even close
4,3* (53,6K reviews) on Google, cost 6,50€ for whole pie. Yeah sure can be famous, but that doesnt mean that its one of the best one.

Americans love trash food not fresh😂
Is that the place the Jersey shore work at?
This is a Napoly style pizza, US has a Rome style, with fake cheese on it
Non è la più buona che puoi trovare qui in Italia c'è di molto meglio fidati
Non capite niente di pizza, come non capite niente di calcio. Mangiatevi la pizza di New York, vi meritate quella!
Did you share any pizza with your nose?
crazy I see a lot of reviews on Pizza from Italy and I'm convinced I never want to eat pizza in Italy
You know why?Because you are not eating pizza in Ny.
An American saying pizza (invented in Italy) is better in America. Lmfao americans
This place in particular became so overrated, it's opening other places around Italy. It's not bad, at all, but it's not even top 10 in Italy, let alone the world. Yes, I'm Italian
Ballsy doing that in Naples and pretty much shitting on their pizza. That’s OG pizza and New York is enhanced version of it all
I been there and I agreed. NY pizza 100% better.

No no no 😂
It is his opinion.
Doesnt look great. Dont feel like eating that.

Cooking pizza with firewood makes any pizza delicious.

Clearly you are biased as you prefer a NY slice, which is not wrong in itself, but Pizza in the south of Italy is eaten like that
how can you compare de new york s..t with real italian pizza?:)))
Pizzas look like they just came out of the freezer…
First video where i see him giving actual critic, probably cause they are the only ones who didnt pay him for reviews😂 im with him on the napoli style pizza but this is not the only style in italy. Imo roman style pizza is the best and probably closest to ny style pizza
Theyre rushing those pizzas out half baked lol

Pizzeria Michele is way overrated, there is better pizzerias
Terrible pizza to floppy
Tip for anyone traveling anywhere in Europe: avoid any place where people speak english.
