I joined Danny VS Food and celebrity chef Aldo Zilli at the English Fish and Chip Awards in Manchester, judging one of the biggest battered fish Fry Offs of the year.

I'm just a little sad that i didn't get to try any of these delicious looking Fish & Chips offerings that day. 😋But it was still fun to watch Danny, Aldo, and yourself Steve, having a great time at the English Fish & Chips Awards 2026. I had a great fish tea at wetwang deep blue
I ate a fully fresh haddock fish and chips and when I do a fish haddock from wetwang I never tasted a fresher fish in a haddock, I even ask my dad if that fish was a haddock too 😊
Even all the ducks wanted a piece of fish droppings when I was eating 😂😂

Yes it's good, shame we can't eat it, but the trouble with this is, not being able to SEE it, come on photographer!!!
It’s a bit unfair going and getting freshly caught fish from the docks, cause I can guarantee you that isn’t what they’re selling.
They couldn't have picked better judges Steve.
I know it does say " Fish Fry Off" but wondered why they hadn't done chips because fish is only half the meal …and the chips could have made the difference in overall winner .
