Welcome back to Living Noire!
All thoughts shared in this video are our honest opinions. This experience was fully paid for by us, and we are not affiliated with Novo Cucina.
For Episode 46 of Living Noire, we visited Novo Cucina, an elegant Italian restaurant serving handcrafted pasta, fresh seafood, wood-fired pizzas, and beautifully presented cocktails and mocktails.
This meal completely exceeded our expectations.
We expected good Italian food, but what we found was exceptional quality, thoughtful presentation, warm hospitality, and prices that felt surprisingly reasonable for everything we received.
Here’s what we ordered:
• Arancini
• Neapolitan Focaccia
• Strozzapreti alla Salsiccia
• Pesce al Cartoccio (Rainbow Trout)
• Viola Blu Zero-Proof Mocktail
• Zero-Proof Tiramisu Martini (plus a sample of the original)
• Tiramisu
• Blueberry Cheesecake Gelato
The appetizers immediately set the tone.
The Neapolitan Focaccia was our favorite starter of the meal. Fresh from the oven with a soft, chewy interior, crisp edges, and an incredible olive tapenade, it was one of those dishes we’d happily order every single visit.
The Arancini were equally impressive. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, with a rich sausage ragù and a perfect cheese pull, they reminded us of the boudin balls we grew up enjoying back home.
For our entrées, the quality continued.
The Strozzapreti alla Salsiccia featured perfectly cooked pasta coated in a rich, creamy sausage ragù that was beautifully balanced. Every bite felt comforting without becoming too heavy.
The Rainbow Trout was another standout. Cooked in parchment with potatoes, tomatoes, artichokes, and lemon olive oil, the fish was incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and one of our favorite seafood dishes we’ve had during Living Noire.
For drinks, we both enjoyed the Viola Blu zero-proof mocktail. It was refreshing, beautifully presented, and photographed wonderfully, though we’d probably order a Coke on our next visit.
Kim also ordered the zero-proof Tiramisu Martini and had the opportunity to sample the original version. While we preferred the zero-proof version, neither became a favorite.
To finish the meal, we tried the Tiramisu and the Blueberry Cheesecake Gelato.
The tiramisu was creamy and well balanced, though we wished for a stronger coffee flavor. The real surprise was the gelato. Packed with real blueberries and cheesecake pieces, it quickly became one of our favorite desserts of the entire visit.
From beginning to end, Novo Cucina impressed us with exceptional food quality, attentive service, and an atmosphere that made us want to linger just a little longer.

Hey…Happy Monday! I'm watching before work. I had to duck out of the live last night. Should you get a chance, pull up my choir on youtube..Josh Bracy and Power Anointed. I hope our music blesses you.The food here looked delicious and I love your jewelry pieces too. Have a great week!
Good Morning Kim in a glass and Mrs. Keyondra. Key, it has come to my attention that Kim has become fascinated with alcohol. I don’t like Tiramisu and martinis are harsh. But a Tiramisu martini, of all the drinks that you could have tried, I would have never suggested that drink. I would have suggested something with Lemoncello. The food did look delicious, that trout looked so good! I am on my way! 🛫✈️🛬. I’m going to wait patiently for my Indian restaurant review. Y’all not getting away with that so easy.😂 No Ma’am! Y’all two gonna make catch a flight FRFR. Have a wonderful week. Luv y’all ❤❤🍸
