Pompeii — The Snack Bar with Food Still in the Jars

In 2020 archaeologists opened a Pompeii snack bar — a thermopolium. The counter still held its painted menu and the clay jars still held traces of the last meals: duck, goat, snails, and fish, served the morning Vesuvius erupted.
