Welcome to Rome, Italy! 🇮🇹 A city that feels like one giant bucket list. From ancient ruins and hidden history to iconic landmarks, incredible food, and world-famous sights, there’s literally something to see around every corner.

The problem? We only had 48 hours.

And while Rome has no shortage of amazing things to experience, it also has no shortage of overcrowded streets, a less-than-adequate public transportation system, and a healthy disregard for efficiency, punctuality, and general organization. So, experiencing Rome in just two days might be a bit more challenging than we expected, but that didn’t stop us from trying!

In this video, we spend 48 hours in the Italian capital exploring the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, underground ruins, local neighborhoods, and some unforgettable food experiences as we attempt to make the most of our first visit to this iconic city!

Whether you’re planning your own trip to Italy or simply dreaming about visiting someday, we hope this video gives you a real feel for what it’s like to experience Rome for the very first time when you only have 48 hours.

  1. From all the incredible historical sites and monuments in Rome , my favorite moment will always be when our hotel street was closed due to God knows what “ What about those people !?!?”

  2. I was there last year JUST before the jubilee and miss it so much. I’m planning on coming back next year but for Sicily and Capri …but I think I’m gonna try to squeeze at least 2 days in Rome cuz you can never see it too much ❤

  3. You can do a small group tour for THE UNDERGROUND— we did that last year and it was amazing.

  4. After working for an airline for over 30 years we have seen lots of cities and mostly do self-guided touristing. I think you have convinced me we need to do more local tours. Carry on carrying on! 😎🤗

  5. Yesssss, the Hugos!!! I discovered these on our trip to Rome last June and it quickly became my favorite. You mentioned Audrey Hepburn. Did you happen to see the Mouth of Truth on your golf cart tour?

  6. It's always amazing to see how much you can squeeze in in only 48 hrs!! Nat what shoes do you wear in your trips? I see white sneakers and assume they are comfortable for all the walking

  7. Well, this just took me right back! We were blessed to spend time with y’all in Venice, Cinque Terre, Florence, and Rome just days before this was filmed. The history was interesting, the scenery was beautiful, but the company was even better. ❤️
