Italian wine is full of surprises. You think you know Moscato. (Or Prosecco, or Lambrusco, or Chianti). Then you hear about a producer like @cadgal_wines who age their old-vine moscato for 60 months buried under river sand.

Huge thanks to @ian_dagata for bringing wines like this to my attention. The MicroMega exhibit is an always a vibrant start at Vinitaly, the massive Italian wine fair I attend in Verona every spring.
