I recently started making pasta and I really love it. I have a KitchenAid with an Antree pasta attachment and it’s works fine. However, I always watchshows/movies working in my kitchen. The KitchenAide is noisy while running it through the machine and I make a lot of pasta at a time. I’m thinking about selling my Antree attachment and getting the Mercato Atlas 150 since it doesn’t come with the noise factor of KitchenAide.

I found a used one for sale and the seller has a lot of good verified reviews, however he’s not certain as to the age of the machine but said it doesn’t look too used. My question is, is it okay to buy an Atlas 150 used for should I buy a new one?

Honestly buying an Atlas used is usually fine, those things last forever if they were taken care of. Just make sure it rolls smoothly and doesn’t have rust or damage.

Buying an old one is fine.

The issue you will have, if you move from a KitchenAid attachment to a manual machine, is that you will find you need an extra hand to turn the handle.

If you get an electric one, you will still have the noise.

I hear ya when it comes to the noise, the KA can sound annoying. However before you sell, consider using the Atlas first and see how much you mind repeating the cranking. I owned both and tolerate the noise.
