I was told the billionaires are building bunkers not just because of the AI but more for protection from the general public when the entire world economy collapses and there are no longer jobs and the people go after those that built it and the rich. It's probably a little bit of both. God I would bang the shit out of this girl she's hot af. I would like to have her in my bunker. Lol jk sorry. It May even be a a solar sail with fusion nuclear reactor for long term sustained power source and interstellar speed with the light weight alloy nickel sails that can close approach the sun without melting and slingshot gravitational assist and head towards the target. So the scientists that disappeared each one has a certian job. 1 xan build the nickel alloy heat resistant sail and hull. One can do nuclear fusion engine, one can do the navigation, one can do interstellar speeds and a few others I forgot. And the general that was taken is managing the entire mission. They realized it's basically impossible to send humans to mars with our current technology so the first missions will be robots. Elon Musk is a brilliant businessman and salesman he always does stuff like we're going to Mars to sell his companies and then he moves onto the next opportunity. The EVs are dead we don't have enough resources on earth to keep building them so now he's going to build up the idea of building a civilization on the solar pole of the moon. We're going to be fine it's going to hit and kill millions of people in that area and possibly trigger super volcanoes. Definitely earthquakes. We'll probably survive tho but it will cause serious death and disruption. If it hits in Pakistan we're mostly fine. We will definitely have some repercussions but we don't actually know how bad yet. Could just be Pakistan and some earthquakes or it could set off mega qaukes and super volcanoes. Either way we can't do anything about it and we're not supposed to know for a reason. So it's best not to worry about. I'd rather just die from it than sit in a tin can in space for 5 years. I will go in the underground city tho! Let me in!!! I can do important stuff!!! I have an extremely large penis and you're gonna want one if you plan on populating fast! That's all I have I can build anything but I can do basic tech support I wonder if that counts. 1. Living in Orlando, I know lots of people who work for these weapons manufacturers, especially Lockheed Martin. I recall hearing from a friend about a plane they worked on which could not be tracked. Apparently they did such a good job that the company itself lost the plane for a while.

IF we were hit by a massive meteor, chances are High it would hit water and cause Massive tidal waves… building bunkers on Hawaiian Islands or the California coast seems stupid. And IF these scientists were Secreted away to put them in an Apocalypse bunker, I don't think you'd stage it this way so that their disappearances were all over the news. Your Mars theory as a temporary home Does seem feasible… that's an interesting take on it and Musk does seem Hyper focused on it.
I think the threat is there and they want to desert earth before it happens. Or go into the bunker. Just like in the show Paradise. They know the end is near. They are trying to escape it.

We don't deserve our amazing, precious planet with how we as a species have treated it. If there is a catastrophic event that resets the Earth's eco-system, I hope the next intelligent species (whether human or other evolved species) will be wiser and less greedy than us and appreciate what they have and don't destroy it. Humans as a whole are just awful.

Really these billionaires can have the planet if this is the senario that takes place. No pure clean rivers and streams, no fish, no animals in the wild, no elephants, tiger's, monkeys, birds….no native bush and birdsong… nah…the psycothapths can have it. They can feed on themselves because eventually their bunkers will break down. I wouldnt want to be on Earth after either nuclear war or an astroid wipes out all the pristine life forms.
