  1. So like, the worst part for Willy Wanker was that his girlfriend “lied” that she made homemade chocolates… right? Then he posts on Reddit that HE made homemade chocolates… that he didn’t even make. Yeah, that’s a winner 🤦

  2. I feel like I’m going crazy that wine story IS crazy, lowkey kind of a privilege to think opening a $120 and drinking the ENITRE thing is whatever.

  3. im sorry but their responses to the first story felt so out of touch for me 💀 i felt like i was crazy til i read the comments

  4. For the last story, what does this guy think homemade chocolates are? Physically harvesting and processing cocoa beans and making caramel from scratch? This guy is the tool of all tools

  5. Bro, I'm so sorry your girlfriend didn't travel all the way to Mexico to personally harvest the cacao beans to make your chocolates from scratch…

  6. Hey yall im pretty sure the gibberish guy was said to be doing this pre-kids as she said he did it before they got married just not to this extent. The kid was brought up as an additional concern, it was not the cause of the talk nor the main issue.

  7. I think it's insane to be cartoonishly brutal when someone asks how their cooking was. Especially a new girlfriend who you just met and is just trying to fit into the group. Unless this girlfriend is a professional chef and asking for a full critique, there is no reason for any of that.

  8. I just realised Olivia is the only one ive seen that matches my energy when it comes to calling people out on Reddit stories. That guy does deserve to have his stove and shoes taken and to sleep on a cold hardwood floor

  9. First story, well not ah. If i will be told to use what ever i want i will use ONLY MY FOOD AND BEVERAGES. i will use plates and glasses in the kitchen of a friend, not a food or wine. I will ask before to use smth

  10. My niece got married right before lockdown. Like a month before. She didn't have a huge wedding, but there were quite a few people there. There were 4 people She was concerned about. 1) herself because she was pregnant with her 2nd kid. 2) me because of I was a type 1 diabetic. And 3&4) her great grandparents were in they're 90s.
She had one request of the staff. DONT TALK ABOUT THE VID DURING THE WEDDING.
One woman spent the entire reception freaking out over the thought of lockdown because it was mentioned on the news right after the ceremony.
My niece told another staff member to keep the other one away from everyone. The woman kept doing rounds. She did freak a lot of people out.

This OP though, I don't have words.

  11. Bit of an L take on the wine story. something like is a thing would be common sense to ask when it’s something that looks expensive

  12. The pork chop story – there is a huge difference between honesty and bringing up a person who is not in the room and had not even been mentioned

  13. My friend just went to a wedding and the dress code was literally op shop best and he went in fluffy looney toons pj pants and a shirt

  14. Sooo I’ve made little chocolates before. I melted down store bought chocolate, melted it in little forms and made them more pretty. I was on them for hours and not one single person even imagined me doing my own little chocolate lol

  15. unspoken rules are so dumb for ppl like me who take things literally . just say what you mean OMGGG

  16. 32:18 i'll add this comment here, there was a guy who was also talking childishly, and it was a bet with one of his buddies, and he was recording his wife's reactions, but the limit was his work –he wasn't obligated to talk like that at work.

  17. Why would you open a new bottle of anything when it’s not yours 🤷‍♀️ Ike huuuhhh???

  18. Okay, so, for the last story: just to add some context, and based on the description of her process and the image of the finished product, the GF was almost certainly using candy melts rather than 'proper' chocolate that requires tempering. Which… is one of the most common ways to make chocolates at home, and *even if all the components were store-bought*, it can still be a considerable amount of effort, particularly time, to get it all done. I used to work as a confectioner and chocolatier, and I 100% use candy melts (or chocolate chips + a bit of coconut oil) if I'm making chocolates at home.

OOP is definitely an ass, but we don't need to artificially inflate what the GF did for it to be a good thing. Let's praise/congratulate her on what she was actually doing (learning a new skill, making something by hand, spending time and effort on a thoughtful gift). If I told OOP that I'd made a handmade book, would he assume that I meant I'd milled the wood and made the paper myself? Maybe I should be tanning my own hides for leather for the cover.
