We set a course on a tranquil cruise of the rivers and canals of France’s Burgundy region. Aboard a century-old barge-turned-hotel, we’re treated to a relaxing pace and natural beauty — plus plenty of gourmet meals and fine wine. Stops for a hike or bike ride help us work up our next appetite, and a château lord welcomes us to taste the vintages of the famed Côte d’Or. #ricksteves #ricksteveseurope #burgundy

  1. Rick Steeves… i saw your comments on taxes in your home state and about sharing and caring for your fellow citizens. Youre a comically goofy man most of the time but youre a real one and i salute you. You have my admiration. If only more americans were like you the world would be a much better place.

  2. I know this is gonna be off-topic, but I wanted to thank you for what you’ve done for the homeless in Everett purchasing that land so people can have dignity you’re the real deal guy

  3. Witness the Captain's reaction to Rick's droll question "Do you get tired of this beauty?". Guess riverboat Captains lack a sense of humor.

  4. Dear Rick, I saw your program on Iran before Trumps war started. I saw a beautiful country filled with wonderful people. Why can’t we all get along is beyond me. Thank you for that program, it was spectacular!

  5. I just want to add my voice to the chorus celebrating Rick Steves. He’s one of the wholesome giants of media, standing right alongside Fred Rogers, Bob Ross, Jim Henson … Rick you’ve been an inspiration to this 47yo nearly my entire life. Bless you.

  6. Oh, Boy: you, Steve Smith, and France. Travel videos can't get better than this! Well: it is also fine to see Simon still along and doing such fine work!

  7. Greetings from Bellingham! Ahhh "joie de vivre"! Thanks Rick. My French descendant heart was filled watching this show. Funny…French life expectancy is four years longer than the U.S. and they love to eat rich food with copious butter and wine.

  8. I have plans to visit the French alps this year. I'm American, curious and a bit concerned actually about how we would be received in Europe in these horrific times of our current president. I wonder if you might touch on this subject

  9. I was blessed to have missed my class at NYU in 2018 to meet Rick Steves on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. He signed my Travel as a Political Act book. I thanked Rick for filming an episode in my native Romania. I cherish that meeting for life. 💙

  10. French food is OVERRATED! Bland and overpriced! We ate at many places,, some that were listed and a good place to eat. With the exception of the bread, even my daughter said, she didn't see what was some special about French food! France in general is my LEAST favorite place in Europe. Haven't been everywhere, but I'd take Germany, ALL of the U.K and Ireland, before France again!

  11. when I was a kid, start having a dream for the first time to go around the world by watching your show Mr. Rick Steve. Thank you for coming back! ❤
By the way,I love your intro song❤

  12. Steve: Next time stop by Sterna in Roanne. Kathy’s Beef Burguignon is as good as…well? It’s those mashed potatoes that we could use the recipe! Billy/Kathy BI

  13. Rick is such a wonderful human and its so great to see him! Just this month I had the flu and spent hours in bed watching his old Europe episodes… it brought so much comfort when I was not well! Thank you for everything❤

  14. Dream trip! Would be very neat to be a chef upon one of those. So you actually can stop and go see the little towns and villas aling the way? Thank you so much for sharing this! 🤗💐

  15. Is this what happened when you get old and have money…or want to cater to the rich viewers.. *sarcasm *.
My wife would like it , I will pass. Or wait until I am 80. Or bike along …

  16. legend steve smith is back!! yes… (his old old old episode was great.. he made a really great quote )

  17. 😂😂😂
    "Seasonal fruits".
Passionfruit from 3000 miles away ….. good one !!

But still – great video ! Love it 😉
Unfortunately TAHT kind of cruise, on a boat like that, with THAT service would bankrupt me and my family for 6 generations.

  18. I, too, was thinking how nice it has been to see Rick back to his old stomping grounds. Enjoying a more leisurely (VERY WELL DESERVED!) bit a travel.

  19. This is absolutely beautiful this is my definition of soaking in everything and doing a little cruise with a hotel on water.

  20. How relaxing. With the craziness in this world, thank you for sharing such a beautiful culture 🙂 had me oooohing and ahhhhing the whole time.

Especially jealous of the serving of that epoisses! It’s my favorite cheese, but so rich I only have it during the holidays. This has me rethinking the recipe to try it in late spring ❤

  21. I didnt mean to watch the whole thing-quite the time crunch I am in! but goodness, you've cultivated a charm that is hard to ignore!
