That is a very generous buffet, but how much did it cost? I want to take a friend there.
Small buffet. For $13 more I can go to the Mandarin in the evening and have prime rib and so much more. Besides I live in the West end of the city and that place is in East end. So the gas costs and everything I think it's worth it to go to the Mandarin. I'm not saying that place is bad.
wow, thx for the vid, i have gone by that place for so many yrs on the bus and seen the signs they have all yr round , looks great , but one thing i couldnt see or get is that no pizza at all i seen for an italian joint, lol

That is crazy. Take home as part of the deal. There are Chinese food places here that charge you extra if you don't eat all your food. I'm definitely not a tripe person either. But that tortellini soup looked delicious, would have added that crispy pork to it. But I would have most likely started with those little cheese cakes. I love cheese cake. It's what I get for my birthday cake. Seriously though, each of those to-go plates you got would have been $23 each by themselves let alone the buffet alone. Especially if it was a Mom and Pop shop. This buffet is really impressive, I live in Mississauga and I'll have to make the trip to London on a Friday. I've heard some folks speaking Italian in the background and it warms up me heart too. Thanks Dave and Lucinda for bringing this awesome gem to our attention.
I enjoy tripe, but it's really common in Calgary in Pho, it doesn't taste like much, but it has a great texture. The party trick with tripe is that it picks up and holds sauce really well.
Now I'm hungry!
My guess is they are going to be a bit busier, now that you’ve been and give it a wonderful recommendation. Hope they get prepared. People could actually go for lunch and get just the takeout container.
Well worth the money
Never knew they had this and I lived around the corner for 4 years. Just bought a house in the west end in 2020. Gonna have to go check it out some Friday.
