Gracias amigo. Visité de nuevo el complejo arqueológico de Largo di Torre Argentina hace dos veranos. ahora se puede bajar. Han puesto pasarelas, pero no llegan al lugar donde estaba la curia de Pompeyo, justo debajo de la calle. El calor era tan tremendo que no se veía ni un gato. Me llevó un taxista pirata desde Borgo Pío, un gordo calvo sacado de una fantasía de Fellini. Me devolvió un billete falso. Con el billete de 10 € pagué la entrada y visité los templos. El lugar donde cayó César, bajo la estatua de Pompeyo, fue convertido en un espacio maldito, y condenado, tapiado y cubierto con cemento. Dicen que Augusto no quería que se convirtiera en lugar de culto a César. Más tarde construyeron encima una letrina. El día del atentado Casio y Bruto tenían un grupo de gladiadores esperando en el teatro, por si se complicaba el asesinato. No hizo falta su intervención. Apuñalaron a Julio torpemente, cada conspirador debía asestarle una puñalada. Tropezaron entre ellos, resbalaban en la sangre, caían. Por odio o por falta de destreza le apuñalaron hasta en los ojos. Cundió el pánico y Roma quedó desierta. Más arriba, en la plaza, vivió el escritor Gore Vidal en el Palazzo Origo. Nunca he sabido en qué lugar vivió Anna Magnani. Me gustaría.
Sé que Miguel Ángel vivió hasta su muerte, muy anciano, en un caserón junto a otros edificios medievales que fueron demolidos para construir el monumento a Víctor Manuel. La fachada fue salvada y llevada al Gianicolo. Hasta el final salía a cabalgar. Cuando no pudo paseaba por el foro de Trajano. Ya muy enfermo un discípulo lo vio bajo la lluvia dando vueltas alrededor de la columna de Trajano, con la cabeza perdida. Lo llevaron a casa, al poco murió. Era un palacio destartalado porque Miguel Ángel vivía espartanamente, pero encontraron cofres con toda clase de monedas, de plata y de oro. Saludos commendatore.🖖

Roma ha una nuova gemma. Lo stato italiano ha comprato il più bel ritratto di CARAVAGGIO. Sarà esposto a Palazzo Barberini (Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Antica).

The walk has made me a little dizzy due to the huge variety of different sensations: the hustle and bustle of the great city, the sounds of work in progress in those narrow medieval streets, the architecture of the buildings in Piazza Della Pigna, the crystal clear water of the Virgo, the GENIUS imagination and engineering skills of the ancients. A powerful blend! Thank you for presenting those with such insight and enthusiasm. As for what to see in the future- could it be possible to visit the cemetery next to San Lorenzo Fuori Le Mura (I hope I get the location right) some time? Pozdrawiam serdecznie z Warszawy zwiedzałem Rzym dwukrotnie turystycznie. Pamiętam doskonały smak wody z ujęć ulicznych oraz smakowitą kawę. Dziękuję za możliwość spacerów po ulicach Rzymu i pozdrawiam
