Thick cut Wagyu tongue served rare to medium rare.
This was our experience at Umeda Ushimitsu in Osaka.
Ushimitsu began in Tokyo in 2017 and became known for its full service Yakiniku style, where trained staff grill the meat for guests. The Osaka location continues that approach.
The tongue shown here is an à la carte cut, thicker than the slices typically served in the course. This allows it to be cooked rare or medium rare while maintaining tenderness and structure.
Courses range from ¥8,800 to ¥22,000 and include a wide variety of cuts prepared directly at the table.
Save this for your next Osaka visit and subscribe as we continue exploring Wagyu and Japanese grill culture.
