  7. They are dried figs!! my mom used to heat them up in the oven and stuff them with roasted almonds and chunks of chocolate and they would melt and oh they were such a treat. I thoroughly enjoy your videos of your little small town. My mom and her family was from From Gioia del Colle, Bari . Dasai is another tiny town in Calabria I want to visit!! Your English is excellent even with your beautiful Italian accent! Don’t lose it it’s quite sexy

  8. The beauty of little Italian towns, no matter how small the church is, the feast is second to the center of the festival, which is the religious aspect, whether it's glorifying the Mother of God or a particular saint. Italians have their Catholicism in their veins. You don't know how lucky you are growing up in such a quaint little town. When you grow up in a big city, like I did, all that closeness is lost. You are a very lucky person. Your simple, elegant outfit complimented that perfectly.

  9. Hello from the USA. I am the owner of the Face Museum in Florida. I make life masks of celebrities and people of extraordinary talent. I think you have the face of an Italian goddess in her prime. If I ever get back to Calabria I want to make a copy of your face for you and my museum. I don't charge for what I do. Do you know Harper & Eva of Pasta Grammar in Dasa?

  10. Another great video! What cathedral was that? I like to walk around using google maps to get a feel for the neighborhood, but I couldn't figure out which one it was. Grazie!
