Join me on an epic journey from the heart of London all the way to northern Spain — all without setting foot on a plane!

The adventure begins at London Waterloo Station, where I take you step-by-step through the scenic SWR train journey down to Portsmouth Harbour. Before boarding the ferry, we explore one of Portsmouth’s most iconic landmarks — the Spinnaker Tower — with panoramic views over the city, harbour, and beyond.

Then it’s time to board the Brittany Ferries Santona for the Portsmouth to Santander crossing. Over the next two days, I take you on a full tour of the ship: from cozy cabins to lounges, bars, restaurants, and outdoor decks. Expect plenty of food, drink, and sea views as we sail across the Bay of Biscay.

I also compare the differences between this and the other big mini cruise on my channel with their main competitor DFDS, from Newcastle to Amsterdam.

Finally, we arrive in Santander, ready to explore the city or Spain!

errata: the video states Santona was Brittany’s first eflexer, this is not correct. Apologies about this!

  1. The door on the right before the C club lounge is reclining seat lounge.. These eflexers do not offer the same level of facilities as their older ships. (Swimming pool) I said it before sir spend the extra few euro and have unlimited breakfast in the proper restaurant you can stay there ages drink and eat unlimited … and it is something BF do well…
Good spot for the money Carl.

  2. Hi. The other Brittany Ferries that goes from Plymouth to Santander does a £99 return which includes a cabin, although you only get 4 hours in Santander before reboarding.

  3. Great video, the cable you mention on the dog walking area is the hose to wash down your dogs doings. Although it definitely should have been reeled in it's quite often left like that on the E-flexers.
