Bologna is a dream destination for food lovers, and we dive fork-first into the heart of its legendary cuisine in a grand Bologna food tour over the span of two days!
From iconic meats and cheeses at Simoni to rich zabaione-topped coffee, buttery cornetti, and historic treats like torta di riso, these two days were packed with flavor. We sample not one but two gelaterias, stop at the famed Mortadella Lab, and try local street food staples like tigelle and piadina. And of course, we couldn’t leave Bologna without a proper meal of lasagna bolognese and tortellini at a cozy osteria.
Many of these dishes are beloved across Emilia-Romagna, one of Italy’s richest culinary hubs and the region Bologna calls home.

Im jumping on a plane to bologna right now to get those treats!😅 all of it looked so good. The mortadella looks great! Could be Parma ham. Matt and Rachel approved! And great street music! That coffee looks great with custard! Never heard of that! Nothing better than an Italian coffee shop! Very unique dishes. I would get pistachio gelato for sure. Puts US Ice cream to shame. That sandwich was huge! lol I would get either of those. Mmm the bolognese would have been so fantastic 🤤 delicious video
