I had brunch at Stella West Hollywood, where my friend Michael works at. The food is always so good, highly recommend for good food and wine.

  1. That looks so delicious!!! Having such friends must be so nice haha. But you're already a fantastic cook yourself ❤❤

  2. 😮 😋 all the food you share always looks so delicious and way out of my pay 😭😆 but a hook up of 50% I’ll take that everytime 😅

  3. No. I excess income derived from education vs. costs is the only way to calculate a ROI.

  4. I’m a CIA student at Hyde park right now and it’s a really expensive school but you’re paying for the name of the school and the insane networking that comes with that. There are cheaper options for culinary school at community colleges but you don’t really get the same opportunities after graduation. People will hire you from the name of the school alone and that’s a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing that you can get hired pretty much anywhere but it’s also a curse because you have to be able to live up to the name and reputation of the school. The CIA standards are just so much higher than any other culinary school and there is pressure to live up to that. Something that’s really interesting is that a lot of people come to this school expecting everyone to be super talented and already at the Michelin star level but forget that this school has a 98% acceptance rate and everyone is student for a reason

  5. Networking is definitely worth all the money being charged. That is also one of the main reasons why people are keen to get into ivy league colleges even if they have insane tuition. It's the brand value and network that we pay for

  6. I moved to LA for art school but i think that means I'll never get to eat at these places. I guess my friend's holochrome stickers are good enough!

  7. I'm glad I took the free classes at the Chicago Community Kitchen. Sure, I didn't stay in the restaurant business, but, did I learn that working in the kitchen should be experienced from the bottom, up? Yes. I would've stayed had it not been for a previous employer. But, I will absolutely advocate for anyone learning to work in a kitchen. You learn to add to your emergency first aid kit. 😅

  8. Hey Chef
I wondering what are your plans now
Are you going the more private chef route or gonna go to a restaurant?
