Fresh fettuccine notwithstanding, Frank definitely deserves the praise you gave him. He's a very good chef and instructor with an extensive food background, this presentation being no exception. (Heck, he is Italian-American, after all-!)
"Feel it when you cook!" I like that. "If you aren't having fun, you are doing it wrong." -Chef Jean-Pierre. You two have been feeding me for that past year, it's words like these that inspire people to not just cook, but actually enjoy doing it.
Isn’t there a risk that it becomes to hot if you put the plate on top of the steaming water? I’ve tried to do this a couple of times, but haven’t succeeded yet. But one day i will.

Would love to see your opinion on @pizzaiololuigi a chef from Napoli, also here on youtube who is my german speaking Vincenzo for many recepies. He also has his own creations, or special nona creations. Both of you made me embrace my italian ancestors in the cuisine.
I tried something horrible lately – spahetti with garlic butter AND pesto on top. I don't remember quite what else, but it ended up as a horrible, disgusting brown sludge. That really taught me that pasta dishes really need to be their own thing and that you can experiment, sure – but if you got pesto or garlic butter already, you have no reason to combine one with the other. It will just be gross.

Frank definitely knows his stuff when it comes to cooking. I think he shows off more of his skills on his own channel rather than on Epicurious. He has made fresh pasta over there. He probably used Barilla cause they sponsored the video, since they kept showing the Barilla box.
