Homemade Pizza Recipe
A step-by-step guide to making delicious pizza from scratch, complete with a soft crust, tangy sauce, and your favorite toppings.

Ingredients:
For the Dough:
All-purpose flour (maida): 2 1/2 cups
Warm water: 3/4 cup
Dry yeast: 1 teaspoon
Sugar: 1 teaspoon
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Olive oil: 2 tablespoons

Toppings (customizable):
Mozzarella cheese (shredded): 1-2 cups
Vegetables: broccoli, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, cherry tomatoes, etc.
Meat: pepperoni, cooked chicken, or sausage (optional).
Herbs: fresh basil or dried oregano
Instructions:
1. Make the Dough
Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and olive oil. Gradually add the yeast mixture and knead into a soft, elastic dough (8-10 minutes).
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

2. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Place a pizza stone or baking tray inside to heat up.
3. Assemble the Pizza
Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness (thin or thick crust).
Transfer the dough to parchment paper for easy handling.
Spread a generous layer of sauce over the dough.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese.
Add your choice of toppings evenly.
4. Bake
Carefully place the pizza on the preheated stone or baking tray.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
6. Garnish and Serve
Garnish with fresh basil or a drizzle of olive oil.
Tips for Success:
Crispier crust: Bake the rolled-out dough for 5 minutes before adding sauce and toppings.
Experiment with flavors: Try barbecue sauce or pesto for a unique twist.
Make it cheesy: Mix cheddar or parmesan with mozzarella for more flavor.
