Chocolate sponge cake – Italian Recipes
125 g sugar – 1/2 cup
125 g eggs (about 2 eggs)
65 g flour – 1/2 cup
10 g baking powder – 2 teaspoons
65 g cornstarch – 1/3 cup
50 g butter – 3 1/2 tablespoons
Honey – to taste
10 g cocoa powder – 1 tablespoon

Place the eggs in a pan and add the sugar (do not let it boil, just warm it up).

Start whisking the mixture with the honey, then add flour, baking powder, cornstarch, butter, and finally cocoa powder.

Once the ingredients are well combined, pour the batter into a 22 cm cake pan lined with parchment paper.

Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 25 minutes.
