Many of you have requested this and now that I’ve mastered it, there’s no keeping a secret any longer. While I love making incredible pizza dough from scratch, you might be surprised to learn you can find quality pizza dough in store and it will allow you to create a delicious home-style pizza that is more delicious than you might expect.
It might not be the usual neapolitan dough we all know and love but it will allow you to savor the authentic flavors of Italy using simple ingredients, a great bottle of wine, and some of your favorite music.

Do you buy pizza dough balls from the grocery store and which one do you like?
Uncle Vincenzo, you really need to check out this talented young man and his home cooking!
His knife skills alone are pretty respectable for his age, and his enthusiasm and willingness to try new recipes is just so heartwarming, mi amico!
Sure, there's room for improvement, but he keeps upping his game, you really have to admire his love for food!
Seriously, his latest video highlights fist size, cheese stuffed arancini on a homemade tomato & basil sauce. I'm drooling, my brother, droooooling!!!

Have you thought about releasing a cookbook? I've been eating only your recepies for the past month, and I can honestly say I haven't even had the thought to make something else. If you do I'll be the first to place an order.
Home Pizza Extremadura!! Thank you Vincenzo for precise instructions in video 🎉🎉 I will make too 🍷‼️
@vincenzo, how long does it take to cook a pizza in the oven with 250C degrees? I know how to make a good pizza dough (from World Best Pizza Chef video) but when I put my pizza into the oven, after 10-11 minutes, it's getting too dry 🙁
Thank you very much! This is super helpful when kids demand pizza ASAP.
Enjoyed this video a lot Vincenzo! As a college student on a budget, I love seeing how I can make good italian food that I can afford.
Grazie Vincenzo, impariamo sempre di piu con le tue ricette 🙂 stammi bene 👍🏽.
Have never bought pizza dough. Make it myself. 😁 But its not the traditional Italian way.😅 Got the recipe from a pizza restaurant that's not Italian. It is super good though 🙂
Hi Vincenzo, what about using scarmoza and provola? I got some at home and am looking for more uses for them. How should I use them on a pizza?
Sometimes the store has frozen pizza dough. Mixes in America are awful. Living in the rural area that I live in doesn't help. The boys asked me to buy a cast iron pizza stone so we can make pizza at home. It arrives in a few days.
The mozzarella you mention isn't available here. I can buy a domestic half skim in a ball but no milk in it.
Thanks!
Parcooking has been a game changer. I think this is the advantage of skillet / cast iron pizza, but I'm starting to do it in the oven as well. I'll definitely remember the trick about the mozzarella milk.
If you have a stand mixer, I highly recommend trying to make pizza dough using it.
Thank you again Vincenzo 🙏❤
A pizzaiolo you ain't!!
Wonderful video! Did you NOT close the oven door when you put the pizza in under the broiler?
geez why would you buy that the whole problem is the rolling. just get some kids to do it. i wont buy that.
Sorry Vincenzo… I love pineapple on my Pizza
I love the video. Nice and great. In India where i live it is not so easy to get a store bought pizza as it is generally not preferred. It is much more easy to get pizza from domino's and pizza hut and it is suited to our palettes.
More mozzarella on it please
Just needs some pineapple and Canadian Bacon. 🙂😅
Wow. After working at papa Gino’s as a kid (it’s a New England chain pizza and sub shop for those who haven’t heard of it) I had no idea how well they make their pizzas. It all fine semolina and dough balls just like you used. The sauce is really the only part that was premade with a shelf life. Everything else was very fresh. It’s so sad seeing them closing so many locations.
I feel like your shirt doesn't invite people around the world to use their creativity to create local/regional variants of pizza…which is a way to keep good pizza away from many. The greatest form of flattery is having your food adopted for a local audience, I'd argue. I can imagine a pineapple and spam pizza in a few places I've visited over the years, and I can't say I wouldn't try them, given how great musubi is. 😁
This is an excellent idea! Both how to prepare the pizza dough and to put the basilica under the mozzarella!
Here in Germany, we have a few brands selling pizza dough but it always comes already rolled out and it pretty much turns into a cookie. For some time now, though, another brand emerged selling dough balls like yours and it was a game changer. I made it on my pizza stone like I would with my own dough and it turned out amazing. Definitely an alternative if I'm too lazy to make my own dough. I actually have one in my fridge right now for this weekend, I'm gonna give your method letting the dough rest outside a try and see if and how it changes the pizza.
Vincenzo's love your tea shirt, no real ITALIAN PUTS PINEAPPLE on PIZZA
I made the dough following all instructions from the video "How to Make NEAPOLITAN PIZZA DOUGH for Beginners" and baked it according to this video in my normal kitchenoven. The pizza is very tasty but it is always very hard. What might i have done wrong?
Thanks I was wondering about using store bought dough.
