Welcome! Today Im sharing my take on the classic Italian dish, Aglio e Olio! This simple yet flavorful pasta dish is made with just a handful of ingredients, and is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Brief History:
Aglio e Olio, which means “garlic and oil” in Italian, is a classic pasta dish that originated in Naples, Italy. The recipe is believed to have been created by Italian peasants who would make the dish with ingredients they had on hand, such as garlic, olive oil, and pasta.
Aglio e Olio gained popularity outside of Italy in the 1990s when it was featured in a popular American film, “Big Night.” Since then, the dish has become a staple in Italian restaurants and home kitchens around the world.
Despite its simplicity, Aglio e Olio is a beloved dish for its flavorful combination of garlic and olive oil, and its versatility. It can be served as a side dish or main course, and can be customized with additional ingredients such as red pepper flakes, parsley, or Parmesan cheese.
Today, Aglio e Olio remains a popular pasta dish and a testament to the simple and delicious flavors of traditional Italian cuisine.
Recipe:
-Crush your Garlic and chop it down
-Sprinkle some salt on it and press it in a an angle with your knife to crush it more.
-Cut a chilly pepper in tiny cubes.
-In a pan sautรฉ in low heat in olive oil the garlic and the chilly.
-Boil your pasta in salted water for 3 minutes.
-Continue cooking in the pan by adding pasta water from the pot.
-Keep stirring to help the starch from the pasta thicken your sauce while it cooks.
-When ready and al dente the sauce should be ready as well.
-Do not add too much water because you cannot remove it from the pan, the pasta water and the starch from the pasta will create a thick-ish sauce.
-Serve with pecorino or parmesan and some parsley(optional)

Receta:
-Aplasta tu ajo y cรณrtalo.
-Espolvorea un poco de sal y presiรณnalo en รกngulo con el cuchillo para triturarlo mรกs.
-Cortar un pimiento picante en cubos pequeรฑos.
-En una sartรฉn sofreรญr a fuego lento en aceite de oliva el ajo y la guindilla.
-Hervir la pasta en agua con sal durante 3 minutos.
-Continรบe cocinando en la sartรฉn agregando agua de pasta de la olla.
-Sigue revolviendo para ayudar a que el almidรณn de la pasta espese la salsa mientras se cocina.
-Cuando estรฉ lista y al dente, la salsa tambiรฉn deberรญa estar lista.
-No agregues demasiada agua porque no puedes quitarla de la sartรฉn, el agua de la pasta y el almidรณn de la pasta crearรกn una salsa espesa.
-Servir con pecorino o parmesano y un poco de perejil (opcional)
