Nonna’s Spicy Pan Pizza:
Ingredients:
-Pizza Dough
-Sauce
– Castelvetrano Olives
-Anchovy (optional)
-Pipi Pistatu (spicy crushed pepper)
-Oregano
-Garlic
-Olive oil
Recipe:
Step 1:
Stretch your dough onto a lightly oiled pan. Make sure you have it rising up into the sides to make a nice crust. Feel free to trim off excess dough. Then poke holes into dough with a fork.
Step 2:
Slice and add 1 clove of garlic and olives all over the pizza. Also add anchovies (optional).
Step 3:
Drizzle olive oil evenly over the pizza. Add your favorite tomato sauce. Finish off with a few pinches of oregano and a generous portion of “pipi pistatu” (crushed pepper).
Step 4:
Put on bottom rack of oven at 350-400 degrees F. for about 40 minutes depending on the thickness of your pizza. Just keep an eye on the it and take it out when the crust begins to get crunchy. Also occasionally spin the pan to cook evenly.
