DiMaggio’s is a family owned pizzeria that’s been passed down for generations. Owners Angie and Sebastian DiMaggio both came from Sicilian families and they’re dedicated to keeping those fresh flavors alive in their pizza, pasta, and other delicious dishes.

They’re entire family is extremely passionate about the quality of their food and their connection to the members of their community. When we talked with Angie, she continually said that food equates to love in Italian culture. So everyone who comes to DiMaggio’s should leave feeling loved like family and full from the yummy food.

Some of their customers have been eating their delicious food for decades! So naturally we were super excited to dive into the menu they prepared for us.

First, the Mediterranean salad. Before coming in for dinner, we heard rave reviews on this salad from several people in Fairfield, so we were stoked to try it. It’s romaine lettuce, dried cranberries and candied pecans for a touch of sweetness, balanced out with feta and a balsamic vinaigrette. It was a perfect balance of flavors.

Then we had a specialty pizza, the Caprese. It has DiMaggio’s classic house made pizza sauce with garden fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, and balsamic drizzle. This pizza was so unique and delicious.

You’d think that would be it, but they kept it coming with their lasagna. It’s layers of perfectly cooked pasta, house made meat sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan. YUM!

Pro tip, use their homemade bread sticks to sop up that fresh sauce. It’s a game changer!

Everything we ate at DiMaggio’s was phenomenal. We felt so loved and cared for the entire time we were there, and looking around, we saw nothing but happy and satisfied faces.

That’s the family owned business difference, y’all. You receive that one-on-one, you matter kind of care that you won’t get at a chain. It’s like coming into Sebastian and Angie’s home and spending time with their family, eating their Sicilian family recipes, and leaving happier than you came.

It’s gems like this that remind us daily why we do what we do.

Thanks for having us, DiMaggio’s!
