If you lived in Canarsie, Brooklyn in the 1970s or 80s, you knew Bruno’s Restaurant on Flatlands Ave by Rockaway Parkway. And if you knew Bruno’s, you knew the Italian Knish. Somewhere between a sausage roll and a stromboli, the IK was a Bruno’s original. Recently, I’ve been craving it, so I took my best shot. One of the most delicious things I’ve ever cooked.
