Hello people, I am an Italian girl who has been living in the uk for the past 7.5 years,
I really dusted off one of my old recipes when the lockdown started and became a “must-have” every Saturday with me and my fiancé.
At first it was a disaster, because most Italian recipes rely on a very specific flour, or different yeast method… but time after time, I finally made it taste like it should with what I find here.
Clearly, in Italy I wouldn’t use cheap supermarket mozzarella, I would go to a “caseificio” instead etc, so clearly I had to compensate the missing “saltiness” by adding a pinch of salt to the tomato sauce etc.
I added a lot of tips and tricks. Sure this recipe also work with plain flour. It is fully tested and ready to make your day.
I am not claiming it’s the best, but it’s my favourite homemade recipe. I hope you enjoy it.
Perhaps in the future I will upload the sourdough variations, but honestly we prefer this one at home 💚
