Welcome back to my kitchen for another episode of the POV Vegan Cooking channel!

Today’s video is all about my favorite all time dish that I’d probably eat every day if it was a little bit healthier for my body.

Hot Italian “sausage” with sauteed peppers, onion, garlic, chilis, and basil with some tangy mustard on top, all fit into a chewy french hoagie roll and eaten real messy like something you’d get from the county fair.

The italian sausage we’re using for today’s video is from Beyond Meat! If you haven’t tried it yet, I’d highly recommend it now that it’s widely available in grocery stores across the U.S.

Searing our sausages on a cast-iron griddle pan gave us that similar look and taste to grilling them up in an outdoor grill and the high heat sautee on the peppers and onions cooks them down to a really wonderful consistency where they go slightly soft but still retain a very satisfying bite to them!

All those flavors in my mouth make me so happy and take me back to my childhood when I first had this dish in Louisa, Kentucky at a street festival called “SeptemberFest”.

I really encourage you to give this wonderful dish a go and let me know down below how it went and what you thought!

Give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it and consider subscribing to my channel to see more daily vegan cooking content!
