Thin Italian Pizza base with an avocado topping. This is made in a regular oven at home.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
300g strong white flour,
1/2 teaspoon salt,
7g packet of dried yeast
1 tablespoon olive oil
200mls warm water
semolina (to line the baking dish)
For the topping:
Passata,
Parmesan cheese, grated,
Olive oil,
Pinch of salt,
Basil, (fresh or dried),
Fresh mozzarella cheese,
Avocado, sliced (or the topping of your choice)
Method:
1)make the dough: put the flour,salt and yeast in a bowl and mix
2) add the olive oil and water gradually and mix until a dough forms
3) knead on a floured surface until the dough becomes smooth and stretchy
3) leave for at least 1 hour in a greased bowl, covered with cling film or until the dough has doubled in size
4) once doubled, take the dough out, punch in the middle then stretch out using gravity to help.
5) sprinkle some semolina on a baking tray and transfer your stretched out dough onto it
6) continue stretching it out to the shape you like
7) cover any holes with dough taken from the edges of the pizza base
8) press around the edges to form a ridge
9) Add the topping:spread passata around the base
10) add a pinch of salt
11) drizzle on some olive oil
12) grate some parmesan all over
13) tear some mozzarella over the pizza
14) add slices of avocado
15) grate some more parmesan on top
16) drizzle one more drop of olive oil around
17) bake in a really hot pre heated oven at 200degrees Celcius for 8-9 minutes
Serve immediately.
