RECIPE:
Ingredients –
1 Lb Ground Italian Sausage
1 Shallot
1 Cup Parmesan
6 Oz Cream Cheese
1 Cup Baby Arugula
½ Tsp Salt
½ Tsp Pepper
½ Tsp Garlic Powder
Fresh Pizza Dough or Puff Pastry
Marinara for Dipping
Method –
Chop shallot and sauté in olive oil until slightly golden. Add sausage and break down into small pieces until it’s no longer pink. Toss in the baby arugula and stir until wilted.
In a large bowl add cream cheese and hot meat and arugula mixture. Stir in spices and Parmesan and stir.
Roll out dough until it forms a thin rectangular shape. Cut it down the middle and across until you get four medium pieces. Add roughly 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture to a corner of the dough. Grab the side and fold the dough over on itself meeting with the other side in a crescent shape. Use an egg wash to seal the sides.
Dust the outside with the egg mixture, sprinkle Parmesan and bake at 375 for 30 – 35 minutes.
Enjoy!
